Statement of Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice

The Community Chest is committed to equality and fairness for all,  and denounces racism, bigotry and acts  of violence or hate.  We embrace the core values of diversity, equity and inclusion as moral imperatives and raise and distribute funds to organizations in need that embrace these values.

Funded organizations must not discriminate in service delivery or organizational structure based on race, disability, religion, gender, age, sexual identity,  or similar conditions.

The Community Chest has  awarded grants to local nonprofit organizations, assisting diverse and under served members of the community since 1933.  Organizations that do not subscribe to this position statement will not be eligible for funding.
