YWLP: Yearly Awards Ceremonies

Inspired by Elizabeth Cutter Morrow, the first president of The Community Chest, as well as Elisabeth Morrow Morgan, her daughter and the co-founder of the Elisabeth Morrow School and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, an esteemed suffragist who resided in Tenafly, The Chest established a leadership award to recognize young women leaders in our community.

Beginning with our 85th Anniversary in 2018, The Community Chest has held these Awards Events in the spring honoring leaders in our community and granting college awards to emerging high school leaders.  The Community Chest celebrates these accomplishments and engages in a continuing relationship with all winners and finalists in order to help them continue to develop their leadership.

We have honored the young women listed below and their achievements are duly noted.  The names and photos list the award winners from each year from newest to oldest. Congratulations to these young leaders!
