Pre-registration is required for all workshops.  People wishing to attend should call/email first as space may be limited.  Registration - 201 568-7474.

There is no fee for workshops for staff and board members of nonprofits unless otherwise noted.

Continuing education credits in NJ are offered for some workshops for Social Workers and Professional Counselors.  There are no CEUs available for for the January 8 workshop.

Professional Development Series

The Community Chest is launching its 4th annual professional development series on Thursday, October 11th at Flat Rock Brook Nature Center. 

The title of the first session is “Grief, Loss, Stress and Vicarious Trauma in the Workplace.”  The trainer, Kathy Bernard Townsend, will discuss how to prepare the workplace with a plan for managing incidents of grief and loss, occurrences that happen in all types of work situations. This program is open to the supervisory/management staff of the agencies funded by The Community Chest as well as the management staff of other Bergen County nonprofit organizations.
